Use of the website

The website is provided for information about the transport and logistics services offered by Northern Sky Logistics. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference — for example, printing a service page to discuss with a colleague before you send an enquiry.

You may not reproduce, republish or redistribute content from this site for commercial purposes without written permission. Quoting a short passage with a link back to the page is fine; copying a page into your own brochure, tender document or reseller material is not.

Access is granted as-is. We may change, move or withdraw pages when a service changes, and we may restrict access where a request would place unreasonable load on the site.

Information on this site

Content on this site describes our services and how transport modes generally work in Belgium and the Benelux. It is provided for general information and does not constitute a quotation, an offer of carriage, or a contractual commitment.

Prices, transit times and service availability are confirmed only in a written quotation or transport agreement. A page explaining how groupage consolidation works, or what a customs document usually contains, tells you what to expect — it does not reserve capacity or fix a rate.

Describes

How road, groupage, warehousing and customs coordination are handled in practice.

Does not

Set a price, reserve capacity, or commit us to a collection or delivery window.

Confirmed in

The written quotation or booking confirmation issued for your shipment.

Enquiries and quotations

Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a contract. A transport contract exists only when we confirm a booking in writing.

Quotations are based on the information you provide and may be revised if the actual shipment differs in volume, weight, dimensions, handling requirements or customs status. The list below shows what a change usually means for an existing quotation — it is guidance, not a rate table.

Higher volume or extra pallets

Groupage and part-load rates are quoted per shipment or per loading metre, so the price is recalculated against the confirmed load.

Weight or dimensions beyond what was declared

A heavier or oversized consignment may need a different vehicle, a tail-lift, or a permit — each of which changes the quotation.

Special handling or equipment

Temperature control, crane work, or goods that must be loaded at a specific dock are priced separately from standard collection.

Customs status that was not stated

Goods that turn out to need export, import or transit declarations are re-quoted to include the coordination work involved.

Loading or delivery address changed

A different postcode, a restricted-access site, or a delivery window outside the quoted hours is priced against the new routing.

Waiting time at collection or delivery

Where a vehicle is held beyond the free loading time, the standing time is charged on top of the agreed rate.

To keep a quotation valid, send the packing list, pallet count and any customs reference you already have before the goods are collected. See how we compare the available options when a shipment could travel more than one way.

Transport terms

Where we arrange transport, the applicable terms and conditions of carriage apply in addition to these website terms. Those terms are provided with the quotation or booking confirmation and govern liability, claims and delivery.

Where the two sets of terms disagree about a shipment, the conditions of carriage prevail for that shipment; this page only covers how the website itself may be used.

Intellectual property

The content, structure and design of this website are owned by or licensed to Northern Sky Logistics. Trade names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

This means the wording, page layouts, photographs and diagrams on the site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Third-party names that appear on the site stay with their owners and do not imply any endorsement in either direction.

Limitation of liability

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or current at all times. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published on this website.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. If a page looks out of date, or a detail does not match your own reading of the Belgian rules, ask us before you rely on it — the written quotation for your shipment always takes precedence.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Questions about them can be sent to [email protected], by phone on 998202598, or by post to Raveschoot 22, 9080 Lochristi, Belgium.

The office answers calls Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00. If your question concerns a shipment already booked, quote the booking reference in the message so it reaches the right file.

Where the paperwork happens

Why a written confirmation carries the weight

A website can explain a service; only a written document can commit to one. That gap is the reason these terms separate information from agreement so carefully.

When a shipment is booked, the details that matter — collection point, delivery point, goods, weight, handling, customs status — are recorded and confirmed back to you. From that moment the shipment is governed by the conditions of carriage, and questions about liability, claims or delivery are answered under those conditions rather than under this page.

If anything in a confirmation does not match what you intended to send, say so before the goods move. Correcting a pallet count or a delivery address before collection is straightforward; correcting it once the trailer has left Lochristi is not.

Before collection

Send the packing list, pallet count, weights and any customs reference so the quotation is built on real figures.

At confirmation

Read the booking confirmation against your own paperwork. This is the point where the contract is formed.

After delivery

Claims, damage and delivery questions are handled under the conditions of carriage issued with the booking.

This page explains the website. The quotation and the conditions of carriage explain the shipment.
