Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Northern Sky Logistics, operating from Raveschoot 22, 9080 Lochristi, Belgium, handles personal data collected through this website. It covers what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to contact us about it.

Data we collect

When you submit an enquiry through the contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number and shipment details you provide. Shipment details may include collection and delivery addresses, cargo descriptions and timing requirements. If you contact us by phone or email, we hold the same information in the correspondence.

Identification

Who you are

Your name, company name where relevant, email address and phone number. We need a working reply address and a number a dispatcher can reach during working hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.

Shipment detail

What needs moving

Collection and delivery addresses, cargo descriptions, weights or pallet counts where you have them, and the timing the load has to meet. These are the same fields a quotation or transport plan is built from.

Where an enquiry turns into a real shipment, customs paperwork or warehouse handling can add records such as the goods description, the movement reference and the parties named on the transport document. Those additions come from the transport itself, not from browsing this site.

Why we process it

We process your data to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and transport plans, and coordinate shipments you ask us to handle. Where a shipment is arranged, we process the data needed to perform the transport service and to meet customs and documentation obligations. We do not use enquiry data for unrelated marketing.

Step 1

Answering the enquiry

We read what you send, check whether the route, the load and the timing are something we can move, and come back with a route suggestion or a clear answer if we cannot.

Step 2

Building the plan

For a live request we use the addresses, cargo detail and timing to work out a realistic collection window, a carrier fit and the documentation the move will need.

Step 3

Running the shipment

Once you ask us to handle the load, the same details follow the transport: driver instructions, warehouse intake, and the customs and delivery paperwork the journey requires.

Where the data travels

Sharing and retention

We share shipment details with carriers, warehouse operators and customs agents where this is necessary to arrange the transport you have requested. We do not sell personal data.

Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and to meet legal, accounting and customs record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted.

Who sees what

  • Carriers

The collection and delivery points, cargo detail and timing a driver needs to run the leg.

  • Warehouse operators

Intake and release information where goods are stored or cross-docked before onward delivery.

  • Customs agents

The declarations and supporting detail required for the movement to clear border checks.

  • No one else

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not pass enquiry details on for unrelated marketing.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion where there is no legal obligation to retain it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Access

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and what it was used for.

Correction

Have wrong addresses, names or cargo detail fixed so a live shipment is not held up by a bad record.

Deletion

Ask us to remove data where there is no legal, accounting or customs reason to keep it.

Object or restrict

Tell us to stop or limit a specific use of your data, such as enquiry follow-up.

Send a request to the email address below and describe what you want changed or removed. If we need to confirm who you are before releasing or altering a record, we will say so in the reply rather than act on the first message. Where a shipment is still running or an invoice is still within its legal retention period, some records cannot be deleted until that obligation ends.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. For details of which cookies are set and how to control them, see the Cookie Policy.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about the data we hold on you, can go to the same address and number used for everyday transport enquiries.
